The science of cooking with cannabis series focuses on everything cannabis. Local laws, dosing at home, infusion, how cannabis effects the body, and, of course, cooking with it. Each class focuses on different recipes to teach you how to "go beyond the brownie" with your edibles. Due to the restrictions with 502 concerning sharing, only one dish per class willl be infused for time sake. All dishes will be taught, however. Please read the confirmation you get after purchase, it is important.

Be on time, I start class right at 6pm. If you are going to be late I ask that you call 206 552 0468 to let me know.

Dial 007 on the call box for entry when you arrive, apartment is top of the stairs, first door on the left.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Please do not drive to this class! It is a DUI if you are stoned & driving - you will be anywhere from slightly buzzed to completely stoned by the time class ends. Take an uber/lyft or bus/taxi or walk. Then you can enjoy yourself and not worry about parking or driving! If you can't do any of those, then don't come. First time user of Uber or Lyft? Use the referral codes next to each to sign up for ride credits.

Download Lyft - https://www.lyft.com/app LYFTEDFOOD - use this when signing up

Download Uber - https://www.uber.com/ pdxaduywue - click this code to use automatically

What can/can't I bring to the event? IMPORTANT - READ FOR A POSSIBLE DISCOUNT ON CLASS & CANNABIS!

You will recieve a confirmation from the chef after signing up with very specific instructions on what kind of cannabis to buy & where to buy it...some shops I work with will even offer you a discount. Alcohol is not allowed at this class - light refreshments will be available. You are, however, allowed to smoke/vape in class. This is a private residence, so it is legal to consume - feel free to bring something to enjoy while I teach.

If you are going to shop at Seattle Hashtag (Fremont) or Clutch Cannabis (South Seattle) use the promo code "cannabis" when checking out for a 10% discount on class. Instructions to get a 10% discount on cannabis at those stores will be in the confirmation you get after class purchase.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please email Chef Ricky at chef@mortarnpestle.com with any questions.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, but only for a class with equal or greater value. You will need to pay the difference for a greater value class, there is no refund if tranfer to a lower value class.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 48 hours before the event, I am very strict on this. After that, please inquire about a transfer.

Refunds will not be given if ID is forgotten (you will be asked to leave) or you don't bring the type of cannabis Chef tells you (again, you will be asked to leave). In these cases you can get a credit to reschule class, but you will be charged $25 per person for groceries & the credit does not reserve a seat in another class, it is first come first serve.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

That is fine as long as I am informed by email.

Organized by

I have been teaching cooking & baking in people's homes and in my (old) apartment for over 6 years. Formerly Bourgeoisie Brunches, Mortar 'N Pestle focuses on food science and the "chemistry of the pan".

My philosophy is that anybody can learn how to cook, and I'm going to be the one to get you there. With custom menus, a relaxed teaching style to fit any skill level & recipes to make anyone look like a chef - you're in good hands with me!

Be sure to look at my website for a full compliment of services & classes.
